My name is Tonje Halvorsen and I'm the artist of Tonje Linnéa. In the year 2014 I ordered 100.000 safety pins, which I used to create my very first wearable piece of art. Since then my fascination with the safety pins as a material has only grown and I've been creating with safety pins ever since. I love taking an every day object and show off its beauty by turning it into something completely different. It's a very time consuming process which I've been practicing at my spare time for years. 3 years ago I completed my first collection called Obsession. It was completed in 7.000 hours and contained 10 outfits, a half a million safety pins and 1.5 millions sequins and beads.
